We are the Japanese non-governmental organization to provide support for Syrian affected by the crisis in Syria.
We are focusing on education, because education contribute children’s future.
Takayuki Nakano founded the organization in 2016.
He has worked in Manbij (the northern part of Syria, Aleppo province)as JICA volunteer that Japanese government’s international cooperation program. He worked as community during 2008-10, and joined the reproductive project as a community communicator.
After starting the war in Syria, he visited Syrian and organizations that support Syrian in Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, UK, and Sweden.
And he found many Syrians requested the education inside Syria was more important. Therefore he started fundraising and cooperate with Syrian organization in Turkey that support the IDPs education.
He was chosen as Newsweek Japan's"100 Japanese People World Respects" in 2023.
We know Syria has wonderful heritage. Not only historically importance, but also great people live there with great tradition. Actually before the war, Syria had more tourists than Japan.
Enrollment rate is 99.6%(2010), and all education is free for charge even University. But after the war started, many children dropped out their education.
We believe children is the future. They can rehabilitate county, and create the peace.
So we contribute to make Syria as the country of worth visiting by supporting the education for Syrian kids.
The kindergarten is being operated.
For 4-6 years old 300 student, we provide Arabic, English, Math and Psychosocial support.
Many schools were damaged ( war + earthquake)
